Chris Ho Orthodontics

 
 

Chris and his family resides locally in the Centenary suburbs. He was educated in Brisbane and graduated as a dentist from the University of Queensland in 1983 with Honours. He received his Master of Dental Science degree in the field of Orthodontics from the University of Queensland in 1992 and registered as a Specialist Orthodontist with the Dental Board of Queensland in 1994.


Following graduation as an orthodontist, Chris taught at the University of Queensland Dental School. He worked his way up from Lecturer to Associate Professor of Orthodontics. He is currently Senior Dental Specialist in Orthodontics at the Queensland Children's Hospital with his primary interest in the orthodontic management of children with cleft lip and palate and craniofacial anomalies. Chris commenced part-time private practice in 1994 and established his Sumner Park practice in 1997.


In 1993, Chris was awarded the P. Raymond Begg medallion from the Australian Society of Orthodontists' Foundation for Research and Education for best original research. He has presented lectures around Australia and has published articles in national and international journals.


Chris has contributed to charity organisations such as Give a Smile. Give a Smile Orthodontists are Australian Society of Orthodontists members who volunteer to treat, for no fee, patients selected from the public orthodontic waiting lists. Through Give a Smile, Chris has provided comprehensive orthodontic treatment to many needy children with severe malocclusions.
