Max graduated as a dentist from the University of Queensland in 2016 with first class honours and a university medal. He worked as a dental officer at the Hervey Bay Dental Hospital and was involved in the school dental services and the supervision of dental students on placement. He later received his Doctor of Clinical Dentistry in the field of Orthodontics from the University of Queensland.

Passionate in education, Max is currently involved in teaching and clinical supervision of postgraduate students at the University of Queensland Orthodontics clinic. He is also currently appointed as a Dental Specialist at Queensland Health Metro South clinics.

As an active member of the Australian Society of Orthodontists, Max enjoys attending national study meetings to update his knowledge in dentistry. He has also published in international journals.

During his spare time, Max likes to spend time with his family, walk the dog and try different ramen places. He enjoys playing board games and drawing with his polychromos. Max is bilingual in Mandarin and English.
